The price is usually a not unimportant point.

That’ s how the price is set up:

1. Material costs (the photo album itself)

This amount is fixed by CEWE. The albums have an individual price depending on size, cover, type of paper and number of pages. You can choose all of this yourself.

Every album starts with 26 pages. Each album has a basic price.
After that each album has a price for a surcharge per additional 4 pages.
This is added until the album is finished.
When I have finished designing the photo book, the final price will be shown. Of course I`ll inform you about the final price before I place the order.
Then there`s the postage (5.90 per order).

On the CEWE website you`ll find a detailed list of all costs.

All kinds of questions about formats, paper types etc. are also well answered there.

2. My workload

My time requirements can be decisively influenced. The more you thought about it in advance, the less time I have to spend (the smaller is the final calculation.

You can already think about the overall look of the photo book before you start. Format of the album, max. 3 colours for the backgrounds (otherwise it can quickly look chaotic in my opinion), font, texts. Or you can leave the decision to me. With my practice in it I have chosen that in about 15 minutes.

How much does my work cost you?

I calculate my time expenditure with 50.-/hour.

I offer different variants, which lead to different final prices. The models can also be combined with each other. The size of the albums does not really play a role in my work. But I usually recommend the quadratic or XL format.

I can tell you the approximate price of your album after you told me how many photos you want to have in your album, how much you want them to be edited and how I should design the pages roughly (how many collages, how many pages or double pages with e.g. only one photo).

Option 1: Cheapest model. Means the most own time investment for you

About 40-70 photos
You have already sorted out and I only get the photos that will go into the album.
You have already written down the lyrics with a hint where they should go (if desired).
I only edit the minimum (1 minute per photo = 50.- to 80.-).
Simple album design, always between 2 and 4 photos per double page.
Few cliparts (small pictures).
Max. 1 double page consists of a collage of up to 12 photos.
Time required approx. 2-3 hours, depending on the number of photos = 100.- to 150.-

Option 2: Medium model

About 70-120 photos
You have already sorted out and I only get the photos that will go into the album.
You have already written down the lyrics with a hint where they should go (if desired).
I mostly edit the minimum, but with certain photos I sometimes edit more (time needed on average about 3 min./photo).
A little more complex album design = more collages and cliparts.
Time required between 3-6 hours (depending on the number of photos) = 150.- to 300.-

Option 3: “Luxury model”. Means for almost no own time investment of your

Approx. 120-350 photos (of course there can be less photos)
I will sort out the photos for you (max. 3`000, about 10% of them will go into the album).
You have already written down the lyrics with a hint where they should go (if you wish).
I edit each photo a little bit more complex, so that the maximum effect of the photos comes out (time required on average between 3-15 min./photo).
A little more elaborate album design = more collages, more cliparts, more pages, because there are more photos.
Time required between 4-10 hours (depending on the number of photos) = 200.- to 500.-

Info about photo editing:

I find the editing something incredibly important, it upgrades your album extremely.

Every photo is edited by me. However, if your photos are taken by a photographer and edited already , I don’t need to edit them.

Most of the time I need a mixture of option 1 and option 2, as every now and then there`s a single photo that needs some more editing.

I work with the software Lightroom, a professional editing program that many photographers also use.
And I work with a calibrated computer screen.

Basic processing only

I only edit the brightness, darkness, black and white balance
Time expenditure per photo = approx. 1 min.

Basic editing and additional special editing for necessary photos

I make the places that are too overlit darker, color saturation, some areas sharper or soften pixelated photos, remove red eyes etc.
Time expenditure between 3 min. and 15 min./photo

The mini-albums are great as a little thank you for your guests after a party, bachelor party, etc. A funny memory that doesn`t cost the world. So you could order several copies of them.

I find a quadratic album very suitable for the layout. It has a practical format to take with you to show to everyone. Perfect photo album to capture about a week of holidays or a party. A super nice gift!

A panorama album is perfect (as the name says 😉 ) if you have many panorama and wide format shots. Or if you want to put as many photos as possible into an album, like me (in the album Panorama Big).
